Quilted Placemats- Halloween Prints

 Who's ready for costumes, candy and scary movies?! I am! Your dining room table will be too with this awesome placemats surrounding the candy bowl! These prints I believe are only available for a limited time as I got them in a strip bundle (also called a Jelly Roll) at my local Wal-mart. 

This set (four) features a strip with kitties and spiders with the other three strips. I used the strips that feature witches and pumpkins on a white background as my contrasting colors for the inner lines and the binding.

The backing is my usual solid cream color. For the quilting on these, with so many colors and so much busyness to the print, I decided that less was more. So I just did crossing lines on them. 

As of this writing, I am working on the alternate placemats above, which feature bats and ghosties with the other 3 prints. Hitting my shop soon!

My home decor items that I make are unique in a number of ways. Much of the fabric I use is either only available for a limited time (current holiday when made) or was made so long ago that it's not being made anymore and will be a bit tough to find more of.  This means the items you choose to buy to decorate your tables, walls, etc will be unique to you because almost no one else will have one just like it (unless I was able to make 2 or 3 of the same; items vary)

While I'm very good at quilting and sewing, there is always the chance for minute crafting errors. I'm not talking about poor craftsmanship to the point that threads are loose, pieces are not lined well, or binding is falling off. I'm talking about a few stitches are on the top instead of in the seam. Or one corner folded differently than the other four. No one is perfect but I do spend the time to make my items hold up for continued use. (So long as you use them as intended and follow included care instructions)
